Encapsulation typically takes 2-3 days after I receive your placenta.

I encapsulate in vegetarian size 0 capsules.

My encapsulation processes follow either the Traditional Chinese Medicine method of steaming the placenta (with optional addition of ginger, lemon, and jalapeño during steaming) then dehydrating and encapsulating (with optional complementary herbs including nettle and milk thistle) and the Raw Method of only dehydrating and encapsulating. We can discuss your preferences for the preparation method and any additions before the encapsulation process begins.

Placenta’s typically yield between 75-200 pills depending on size.

Placenta Tincture

Tinctures are prepared using 100 proof alcohol and raw placenta. Tinctures take six weeks to “develop” and can be a great addition to continued postpartum hormonal support after you have finished your course of placenta pills. This preparation can be replenished and used indefinitely for hormone balancing well after the postpartum period during menses and even into menopause.

Instructions about how to care for and replenish your tincture will be shared upon delivery.

Cord Keepsake

A dried cord keepsake is included with the purchase of placenta encapsulation services, but if you would just like a cord keepsake or other services excluding encapsulation you can purchase this service for an additional fee. I will do my best to make a heart or other designs at your request.

Placenta Print

Using either the blood from the placenta or food safe dye (your choice), I will help capture the uniqueness of your placenta on watercolor paper.
